Capacity issues at the North Sea

Companies are building up their inventories prior to Brexit

2. December

Currently, there is high demand on transport to and from the UK. This is derived from the fact that many companies are currently building up their inventories to avoid the new customs procedures, that will come into force in connection with Brexit on 1st January 2021.

This means that carriers operating routes across the North Sea are experiencing major challenges with space and freight capacity aboard their ships.

We expect the situation to continue throughout the year. Therefore, please notice that there may be extended transit times on shipments to and from the UK. At the same time, please notice that this may result in additional costs in connection with delivery if the situation does not change.
